i watch a --
from what i feel and see
-- clearly confused relationship
where both sides are incredibly young
and new to the world they live in

their actions
are not as they say they are
there is confusion
and frustration

i do wonder
how long it will last
how many times they will have to trespass
against one another

vapid meaningless sex
idle conversation
non-analytical thought processes
and slow if any forward movement in their life

hard to watch
but i will stand by
and wait
until i am needed
by their standards
or mine
